Xiamen Animal Protection Society (XAPS)

The Xiamen Animal Protection Society (XAPS) was founded by Xiao Bing who has a strong relationship with the Municipal Education Department and Propaganda Department. The support from these two departments is the key factor that allows XAPS to enter schools, colleges and universities to promote humane education. Xiao is in the process of developing his humane education programme for students, consisting of presentations, essay competitions and creating displays on animal sentience and kindness to companion animals.

Dear Naturewatch supporters,

You have contributed so much to the development of my animal protection work, and I would like to express my huge appreciation for that. I was able to receive training, and through learning amongst others about crisis handling, I found solutions to potential problems in projects. For example, the authorities intended to close the government dog pound and following multiple communications between them and me, they decided to suspend it. Hopefully, we can educate children in our country to become compassionate about animals, just as you are!
